Why would someone like you choose to listen and or follow someone like me? Without throwing around my credentials and trying to convince you that I am the smartest guy in the room (never was/ maybe most outspoken lol), I want to be honest with you. The honest truth is, I am a human being who has many struggles and ups and downs throughout life just like you. I understand now, that it will never be perfect or the way you expected it to be. We are all getting older and life does NOT slow down, although we must enter this conversation understanding that nothing is promised! Especially tomorrow, and the more we realize this and understand that principle we can start to live more in the present day. To give you more context, I was once that kid who made an excuse NOT to do things because I thought I had tomorrow. Tomorrow has continued to come but for years I realized the reason I was not reaching my goals was because my brain created an image that was in the future. I was literally running away from my dreams thinking I was chasing them. Then I stumbled upon the importance of training your conscious brain to understand you have the choice to live your dream right now. Understanding the way your brain inherently works by dividing it into the conscious thinking brain and the sub-conscious emotional brain. Think about it this way, if you asked yourself, ” What can I do to make my life better right now?” your thinking brain my spit out some answers but it will be your sub-conscious brain the determines your actions you take. It is often the voice in your head that tells you just do that tomorrow, or no that is just too much I don’t want to do this right now. Why is this? because throughout our life we may have been growing older in age but our brains will only continue to grow through continued learning and environmental stress. STRESS?! Yes, stress is essential for growth and when we add controlled stress into our environment we can grow even more than we thought possible. Although, I will say to some degree we are all victims to the current health and educational system put into place in America. There is a time and a place for bio-medical interventions but overall this system is failing us. It does not teach you to overcome your problems and become self sufficient, instead this system thrives much better with you RELYING on them for your health. You may have heard the phrase before, “why create a cure once, when we can treat for a life time and profit.” I did not think that was possible either, but it is happening right now. We are getting sicker as a country, yet we are supposed to be the most technologically advanced and are the leaders in pharmaceutical research. I tend to get fueled up when covering this topic so I will try to focus more on a solution. Health is complex and we must break it down into three major pillars because if you want to understand your health and maintain optimal health you will have to address them as follows; MENTAL HEALTH, PHYSICAL HEALTH, SPIRITUAL HEALTH. Although I am here to help I must be careful as I proceed because even though I am a doctor, I am restricted to a scope. Therefore I am not here to diagnose anybody with any disease or promise that I can cure any ailment. Although I can coach you through ways of increasing the productivity of your body, brain, and spirit to embody a holistic defense system. So where do we start? If we are really smart we will start with what is already known. Long story short we know that the further we go away from nature the more sick we become, and we are seeing us come full circle once again focusing in on the basics. The basics to health would follow these principles: Stay active, run or walk long distances often, resistance train / workout multiple days a week. Stay hydrated, feed your body what it needs, NO gluttony. Maintain brain health by exercising it often through brain games, meditation, and sub-conscious mindset training. Also, Seek the sun often (if in northern states like myself vit D3 starting in September) and get closer with mother nature. I know these seem easier said than done and who has time for this anyway? Hopefully we do because without our health we are either sick or we’re dead. As Tony Robins would say, you don’t want to be the richest man in the graveyard. We have to cherish this temple we call ‘me’ because it is the only one we ever get. Now don’t be mistaken, the body was created with a divine design, it has the ability to fight through so much sickness and foreign invaders. Over 70 trillion cells in our body constantly on alert for us and every single day it is attacking carcinogens, viruses, bacteria, and even healing injuries. Until one day after years and years of constantly fighting for you the body says that’s it, and can no longer do the job the DNA instructed it to do. Now, how do we get the DNA and body to do its job for as long as possible? treat it like a garden that you love! Feed your body nothing but the best nutrients, give it love, attention, and always live in the present moment. If NOT we will continue to take this life for granted, and end up like most Americans with cardiovascular disease, obesity, mental ailments, high blood pressure, gut issues, and living paycheck to paycheck. It is not an ideal world we created for health. Although I am a firm believer that once we enrich our consciousness with knowledge, we can learn to help ourselves and escape this ‘New World’ way of living. I know it may seem like I am spitting a bunch of non sense but I promise this will all make sense soon, and I am not hiding anything, I will start by showing you the people already practicing these things I have mentioned. We will start to take a deep dive into making positive changes in our lives by following what others have done before.
