Day 15/30: Digital Detox, Core Strength, and Gratitude Boost
It’s Monday! The fresh start of a new week—perfect for shaking off any weekend sluggishness and launching into the next few days with intention. Rather than dreading that Monday feeling, let’s make it a springboard for growth by focusing on three simple wins.
Today’s Daily Wins
- Mental
- Win: “Put your phone away for 15 minutes today,” using that time to breathe or reflect.
- Progression: If 15 minutes feels too easy, go for 30 or schedule two separate 15-minute blocks.
- Regression: If 15 minutes is tough, aim for 5 and slowly increase as you get more comfortable offline.
- Physical
- Win: “Hold a side plank each side,” 10s each side, then repeat twice.
- Progression: Increase the hold to 20 seconds each side or add a third set.
- Regression: If 10 seconds is too challenging, aim for 5 seconds or do it on your forearm and knees for extra support.
- Spiritual
- Win: “Write 3 quick gratitude points in a notebook,” being specific about what you appreciate.
- Progression: Expand to 5 points or detail why each item sparks gratitude.
- Regression: If 3 feels like too many, start with just 1 deeply meaningful point.
Why It Matters
- Mental: Taking a short break from your phone helps reduce mental clutter and fosters mindfulness—especially crucial on a busy Monday.
- Physical: Side planks target your obliques and stabilize your core, giving you functional strength for daily movement.
- Spiritual: Gratitude rewires your brain toward optimism, an excellent tool for combatting Monday blues.
